Ode to the Leavers – I could not dig: I dared not rob: Therefore I lied to please the mob.

What the Quitters are Scared to tell you: “Our promises were only possibilities” at best.
Vote Leave made a number of key promises as corner stones of their campaign.
Iain Duncan Smith said on Sunday: “Our promises were a series of possibilities.”
So do Boris Johnson, Michael Gove, Gisella Stuart, Iain Duncan Smith, Nigel Farage, Priti Patel etc even care about the promises they made?
Given the rate at which they are running away from what they now say were only possibilities it seems not.
Never mind we have Boris Johnson’s promise that he will make a public apology if it all goes wrong.
Better make sure you have prepared that speech Boris, not looking very clever so far.
The EU Referendum Campaign: the biggest mis-trial in living memory
The referendum campaign was flawed in any number of ways but this trial in which our EU membership stood accused was plagued by possibly the biggest sin you can commit in court: Perjury.
The Defence argued that the EU was not perfect but that it was young and needed time to develop the great potential that exists in it. They attempted to point out all the things the EU does for its members. They explained that the EU was a hard-working, if somewhat unorthodox friend with great ideals and intentions.
The prosecution faced with these facts and arguments decided to drop the truth along with their principles: they doctored the EU’s tax returns, their “witnesses” misrepresented the EU relationships with its members, they deceived the jury as to its motives and intentions and they made tenuous or even outright fictitious connections between the EU and people or organisations it has no relation to whatsoever.
Based on this evidence, the jury pronounced the verdict and the EU was convicted of being a bad friend and sentenced to exile away from “England’s green and pleasant land”.
In any decent, just and reasonable society, it would be the Judge’s responsibility to overturn this conviction on the basis that the witnesses for the prosecution lied their glutei maximi off, and that the prosecution were a bunch of unprincipled, self-serving suits.
There would be a re-trial, in which the truth was told and a real verdict achieved.
This is why we need a second referendum, truth, justice and morality must overcome lies, corruption and evil.

What the Quitters are Scared to tell you: “We have plans for ourselves, but not for you.”
Boris, what is your plan to stem – and more importantly repair – the damage being done to the UK domestically, politically, socially and internationally as a result of your campaign for the UK to quit the EU?
That is THE single most important question.
The UK and the world at large needs something other than more vague words and empty assertions from you.
It certainly does not need more of your contradictions and hiding from the truth.
Your personal political ambitions are far less important than the absolute imperative to start to undo the damage you and your Leave associates have caused to the social and cultural heritage of the UK.
And matter-of-factly where is that apology you promised if everything blew up in our collective face?

Do not wait for the world to deliver your salvation: Support the Second Referendum!
https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/131215
Several million people have signed the petition for a second referendum, but we need more. If the disaster that is Brexit is to be avoided, we need 10s of millions of people to sign it. All of you who voted Remain should already have signed, all you Leavers who woke up on the 24th and regretted your decision, you should be signing right now! Scotland! Northern Ireland! Why haven’t you already signed up en masse? UK citizens around the world, to your keyboards!
If this country is to avoid ruin, there can be no more complacency, no more irresponsible voting and most importantly, no more apathy.
“It is no use saying, ‘We are doing our best.’ You have got to succeed in doing what is necessary.”
Winston Churchill

Do not stand for the ruin of your Country: Support a 2nd Referendum
https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/131215
The result on the 23rd might have been Leave but if the British public keeps calm and carries on we can reverse this terrible decision.
The Public was lied to by the Leave campaign, the franchise was flawed and many people had no idea what they were voting for. For any of these reasons sign the petition for a second Referendum, sign so that the UK public can have a real say, so that you can make your mind up based on facts and truths.
The hardcore leavers are celebrating and more importantly they are slagging people off for wanting a do-over. “DEMOCRACY” they say, “YOU LOST” they cry, “DEAL WITH IT” they exclaim. You know what I think? I think they sound like students who cheated on their A-levels, applied to Oxford or Cambridge and now are running around like headless chickens at the thought of being found out.
The People were lied to, they were fed false and misleading information, they were whipped up into a frenzy by some of the most un-trustworthy members of society: self-serving Demagogues.
This was not Democracy, it was a perversion, it was a travesty, it was lies.
“Throughout history, it has been the inaction of those who could have acted; the indifference of those who should have known better; the silence of the voice of justice when it mattered most; that has made it possible for evil to triumph.”
Haile Selassie

EU governments pile pressure on UK to leave as soon as possible: because of their own frailty
But they would wouldn’t they. The mood is changing in the EU and the UK has been prepared to speak out about the changes required.
http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2016/jun/25/eu-emergency-talks-brexit-berlin
The people in the UK have expressed their opinion, even if deceived by Quitters’ Lies, BUT the UK’s Sovereign Parliament has not said what it is going to do.
Is that surprising given that Scotland , Northern Ireland and London are indisputably pro-EU, and that the mandate in favour of the UK Quitting the EU is hardly convincing.
Even the Quitters are fast back-pedalling on their assertions, many of which have turned out to be lies.
If the the rest of the EU truly respects UK sovereignty it needs to possess its soul in patience and spend more time listening to its electorate.
I am passionately pro-EU but Martin Schulz and his ilk should simply shut up, stop being concerned with their own discomfort and newly found concern for democracy and let one of the EU’s sovereign states work its way through the current situation.
If the rest of the EU wants to respect the UK’s sovereignty, it will respect the UK’s democratic process and the time the UK is entitled to take to reflect on the views the voters have expressed.
Inconvenient for Martin Schulz and his like but essential for the UK’s sovereignty.
The UK will decide what is best for the UK.
Quitters emasculate the UK even before the UK has left the EU – UK Commissioner for resigns
Lord Hills, the EU Commissioner for Financial Services, has resigned from the EU Commission.
Lord Hills was leading the move to fully open up the services market in the EU, a market which would be of enormous benefit to the UK.
