I don’t want to hear any more of this ruled by foreigners in Europe rubbish (in case anyone else should mention that), the British people have almost always been ruled in some way or other by foreigners, since before the Romans. The EU is a kind of democracy, just like the UK is a kind of democracy, we are different, but we are the same. Being British, or English, Welsh, Scottish, Irish or French or Spanish or Lithuanian is not how we should be defining ourselves, not for this debate. We are together and not divided. We are men and women, fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, we are families, we are workers, we are students and we are people that need to live together, we are not a flag. So I hope everybody looks to the next generations and vote based on the kind of life we would like them to have, either growing up in what we have, a growing market, a good education, a free health service, a nation with jobs and growth, a decent standard of living, with rights for workers, for mothers and for fathers. Or is it Brexit, which is still we can leave the European Union and….no plan.
