The arguments have been made , so from the heart. I am Scottish but I hope I have a world view. We live on precious island in space we dont own it , we are custodians for the future. Part of that shared responsibility is making the world a more equitable and caring place. I have sympathy for those who with poor intellect and a desire for instant gratification , but bigotry and stupidity is no excuse for disenfranchising future generations. Its not all economics Keynes said in the long run we are all dead, its about a world view of coperation , consideration and responsibility for a caring and more equal world.
