I want to see Britain in a position of influence. I want the Government of Britain to act globally and hold its head up high in the community of nations in Europe. I want the British Government to recognise the worth of British Citizens worldwide as ambassadors of the Nation. I do not want to see the Government skulking in the corner of debating chambers almost grateful for the crumbs offered by other States. I want Britain to be in the driving cabin of the world’s powerhouse with equals.
